Is VibeWarden really free?
Yes. The core product is open source under the Apache 2.0 license. Every security feature listed in the Free tier is fully functional with no artificial limits, no trial expiration, and no "community edition" gotchas. You get TLS, auth, WAF, rate limiting, AI logs, and prompt injection detection at zero cost.
What's the catch?
There is no catch. We believe security should be accessible to every developer, especially those building with AI tools. The Pro tier is for teams that need to manage fleets of VibeWarden instances across multiple services, with centralized dashboards and priority support. The core security product stays free.
Can I use VibeWarden commercially?
Absolutely. The Apache 2.0 license allows commercial use without restriction. You can deploy VibeWarden in production, bundle it with your product, or use it internally at your company. No attribution beyond what the license requires.
When will Pro be available?
We are actively building the Pro features. Star the GitHub repo to get notified when it launches. In the meantime, the free tier has everything you need to secure your application.
Will free features ever become paid?
No. Every feature in the Free tier today will remain free. We do not do bait-and-switch. The Pro tier adds operational tooling on top of the core product; it does not take anything away from the open-source release.
Do I need Pro for a single production app?
No. The Free tier is production-ready out of the box. Pro is designed for teams running multiple VibeWarden instances who want centralized management, analytics across their fleet, and guaranteed response times from our support team.
